Forestry mulching is the fastest, cleanest way to take an overgrown property back. A single machine, a compact track loader running a mulching head, drives over the growth and grinds it in place. Brush, saplings, briars, and cedar go down and turn into a layer of mulch a couple inches deep, right where they stood. No stacking, no burning, no dump trailers coming and going.
That mulch layer is not waste, it is doing a job. It holds your soil in place, cuts down on erosion and mud, chokes back new weed growth, and breaks down over the season to feed the ground underneath. You end up with open, walkable land instead of a thicket, and you did not trade one mess for another.

Forestry mulching starts at $3,000. It takes real machine time and fuel to pull equipment out to your place and grind it right, so that is the floor. Will the cedar and brush just grow back?
Eastern red cedar is the good news. It does not resprout from a cut stump, so once it is mulched below the green, that tree is gone for good. Brush and some hardwoods can push new growth from the roots, and seed already in the soil can come up later, so land with heavy seed pressure might want a touch up down the road. I will tell you straight what to expect for your property.
What happens to all the material?
It stays right on the ground as a mulch layer a couple inches deep. That layer holds your soil, cuts down on erosion and mud, and breaks down over time to feed the ground. No burn piles, nothing hauled off, nothing left for you to deal with.
How much can you clear in a day?
It depends on how thick and how big the growth is. Light brush and scattered cedar can move a few acres in a day. Dense cedar thickets or heavier timber drop that to well under an acre, since every stem takes more grinding. Once I walk it I will give you a real timeline.
What access and ground do you need?
I run a compact track loader, so it spreads its weight and handles soft or uneven ground far better than a wheeled machine. For access I need about a 10 foot opening or gate to get the machine and mulcher through. If it is tighter than that, tell me and we will work out a plan.
Is the ground build-ready when you are done?
Mulching leaves a clean, walkable surface that is perfect for pasture, trails, and wildlife. Underneath it can leave low stobs and an uneven grade, which is fine for those uses but not for building. If you need it truly smooth and draining right, I follow the clearing with a finish grade pass.
